September is just around the corner. When I was a kid, that meant new school shopping and going to school for school supplies. Also, I was always nervous about the first day of school...would I have a nice teacher...would I meet any new friends...would the kids be nice? I LOVED covering my school books with brown paperbags (and just LOVED the smell of BOOKS!!) I still love books. I enjoy reading so much. Fall is still my favorite time of year, even though for most students these days the "ritual" of going back to school has changed with "year round" school...I hope that Autumn still brings back special memories to those of you who still remember those "old" days...LOL!!
I don't know about you...but my illness is really affected by the weather. I tend to do better in the cooler weather. I really look forward to the cooler months. The whole world seems to be have had a rough summer and I think everyone is looking forward to some relief.
As I continue on this journey of faith, I struggle with things like PATIENCE!! I have realized, though, that I do not get upset about things like I used to. Before all of this happened, I would just get freaked out about the smallest little thing, NOW...it is like...what is REALLY important??? I would much rather have my husband, family, friends, love, good health, friendship (and of course food, shelter, and health care)...the rest is just ICING on the cake. What makes is all possible, of course, is faith. Without faith, how else, could one continue on?
